In this class we explore various genres of dance, such as lyrical, jazz, and contemporary. During this time we will learn energetic and dynamic combinations to include turns, jumps, leaps. kicks and expressive movements. Each segment of the class will help develop a well-rounded skill set.

In a beginner level tap class, dancers will learn a variety of steps that focus on timing, musicality, and rhythm. Most tap classes follow a similar structure including a warm-up, across the floor progressions, and a center combination.

A fun mix of jazz funk, jazz and lyrical! Students will learn technique as well as choreography this season!

Mondays: 6:00pm (Mary)
Jazz classes emphasize flexibility, coordination, and strength, with exercises such as isolations (isolating different body parts), across-the-floor progressions, and leaps and turns. Students build center control, posture, and balance, which are essential for executing jumps and turns safely and effectively. Warm-ups often include moderate stretching to prepare muscles and prevent injury.
